Podcasts of Hope
"Hope Unfiltered", "From The Hallways" and "This Side of Hope"
No matter where you are in life right now, know that every step forward—no matter how small—brings you closer to the person you’re meant to become. Challenges aren't roadblocks; they're the fuel that strengthens your resilience and reveals your true potential. At the NeuroBalance Project, we are committed to being a beacon of hope for young people—to ensure that no one ever feels alone or without options to move forward. In partnership with teen voices from the community, we’re creating powerful podcasts that open space for honest conversations, where teens learn to communicate positively, gain perspective, and discover that they are not alone in facing life’s stressors. Through connection, courage, and collaboration, we aim to turn struggle into strength and uncertainty into hope—because the future isn’t written yet, and you have the power to shape it.

Reading Cognition Supports - Creating A Passion for Reading is Our Mission
"Brain Power Explorers"
How Does Our Brain Work?
At the NeuroBalance Project, we offer individualized reading support for young people, whether or not they have been formally identified as dyslexic. Our approach goes beyond traditional reading interventions by focusing on the foundational aspects of brain development—particularly proprioception, sensory integration, and the presence of retained primitive reflexes—that may be creating hidden barriers to progress. By understanding each student’s unique information processing profile, we tailor strategies that align with how their brain learns best. Our sessions are engaging, supportive, and empowering, designed not only to strengthen reading skills but also to boost self-esteem, build confidence, and nurture a lifelong love of reading. Through this dynamic, brain-based approach, we help students achieve meaningful breakthroughs and feel successful as learners.

"Brainwise" Neuropsychology for High School
At the NeuroBalance Project, we provide comprehensive, brain-based support for young people facing a wide range of school-related challenges—whether they’re struggling academically, navigating peer relationships, having difficulty with focus and attention, feeling disconnected from school, or overwhelmed by big emotions that interfere with daily functioning. Grounded in the principles of neuropsychology and brain development, our approach looks beyond surface behaviors to explore foundational factors such as retained primitive reflexes, proprioception, balance, and coordination. By understanding how each student’s brain is processing information, we develop individualized strategies to support emotional regulation and cognitive growth. Our work includes techniques to calm and stabilize the central nervous system, creating the optimal conditions for learning and self-discovery. The ultimate goal is to give the brain what it needs to build strong synaptic connections, so each young person can develop the tools and resilience necessary to thrive—with confidence, joy, and limitless potential.

$30 per 60 minute session, 2X weekly for 4 weeks
$50 materials and supplies

Welcome to Brain Power Explorers—a fun and exciting small-group experience designed just for 3rd–5th grade students to unlock the mysteries of their magnificent, one-of-a-kind brains! In this engaging program at the NeuroBalance Project, we'll take a playful yet powerful journey into how the brain works, grows, and helps us learn, feel, move, and thrive.

Welcome to Brainwise—a powerful, real-world small group experience for high school students ready to better understand the most complex and incredible tool they’ll ever own: their brain. At the NeuroBalance Project, we dive deep into the science of brain function—how it grows, adapts, and drives everything from focus and decision-making to emotional responses and social relationships. High school is a time of rapid development, high expectations, and major transitions, all while your brain is still under construction. When stress, anxiety, depression, or harmful self-thoughts creep in, they can overload the system and block access to the very parts of the brain you need most—like the prefrontal cortex, responsible for reasoning, judgment, self-control, and goal-setting.
In Brainwise, we zero in on understanding how mental health directly impacts cognitive functioning and learn proven strategies to regulate the central nervous system so the brain can work with you, not against you. Through interactive discussions, movement-based brain resets, and practical tools, we’ll unpack how to recognize emotional overload, how to pause and reset, and how to move forward even when things feel overwhelming. This group is for anyone who wants to build real-life coping skills, understand the brain’s role in mental wellness, and develop resilience to face life’s challenges and changes with strength and clarity.
Whether you're thinking about a future in psychology, social work, education, or simply want to be a strong, compassionate peer leader, Brainwise will help you gain the insight and empathy to support yourself—and others—with confidence. Because when you understand your brain, you unlock your power to grow, connect, and choose hope, even in the hardest moments.

"Wired for Wonder" Neuropsychology for Middle School
Welcome to Wired for Wonder—a dynamic and empowering small-group experience created especially for middle school students as they navigate one of the most fascinating and transformative times in brain development. At the NeuroBalance Project, we celebrate the incredible changes happening in the adolescent brain—a time when young people are beginning to discover who they are, what they like, their academic interests, hobbies, sports, and how important friendships and social connections truly are. But we also recognize that this phase can bring unrest, intense emotions, confusion, and challenges with feeling anxious or unsure about where one fits in.
In Wired for Wonder, we’ll take a deep dive into how the brain is “under construction” during this phase, learning how it affects memory, focus, emotional regulation, and decision-making. Together, we’ll explore how to calm the central nervous system through movement, music, technology, and real conversations—developing techniques to handle anxious thoughts, build emotional resilience, and work through feelings of isolation. Each session will be filled with engaging, hands-on experiences and supportive peer discussions that help students better understand themselves and their growing brains. Through laughter, connection, and curiosity, we’ll equip each student with tools to thrive both inside and outside the classroom—because the middle school brain is wired for wonder, and we’re here to unlock the brain's limitless potential!
